Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

I like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
After watching the movies and cartoons more times than I can count with my kids when they were younger, the TMNT gang kind of grows on you.
Last year for Christmas I bought them TMNT snuggies, well all but one (Michelangelo) because Hot Topic sold out of them so quickly that it was amazing.
I actually called all the Hot Topic stores in the area (even in Erie, PA), and my friend Kat said she'd pick it up for me in Virginia Beach if the store had one, but no joy.
Bummer.
Drag.
So now I'll continue to search for the elusive Michelangelo snuggie, and hope that one day I can find it.
In the meantime I can actually say that I am surprised that I am Donatello.
Odd because I really did not do well in high school.
Well I suppose if my school were in a sewer, and my pen a Bo staff, and perhaps if I stretched my imagination a whole lot....then yeah, I can see it.

You Are Donatello

You are definitely the brainy one in your group of friends. Everyone knows you're super smart.
It's likely that you were the top student in your class... as long as school didn't totally bore you.
You are inventive and creative. You'll happily accept the label of "geek."
You may have a lot of brainpower, but you're not a nerdy wimp. You also have a lot of physical power.

Thursday Quiz - There's No Getting Away From It

"It."
What is "it"?
Price increases on everything.
They've just passed the New York State budget, and among other increases they will begin enforcing a bottle deposit for bottled water similar to what we already pay for carbonated drinks.
Guess I won't be buying bottled water anymore.
They're also trying to pass legislation that will increase our natural gas and electricity substantially in the fall.
Bastards.
So now the latest is the increase from Time-Warner for internet usage.
Have you seen that one?
Unbelievable.
And of course we do a lot of streaming video, because we watch over Netflix a lot.
People are complaining and talking about switching to other providers, but I don't think we'll be able to get away from increasing costs from any ISP, just like this article states.
We're doomed to costs creeping higher and higher.
Suddenly family game night looks like a good idea.
So here's the quiz for Thursday about which remote control button you are, or which one I am.
Whatever.
If I were in charge of the remote controlling our state, I would be pushing the "Stop" button.
Seriously, there's something to be said for making a West New York.

You Are Play

Compared to most people, you are very active and energetic.
You have a daring, challenging spirit. You're willing to go into something blind.
You are playful, carefree, and optimistic. You are up for trying anything.
If you dream it, you usually end up doing it. You're not one for putting your dreams on hold.

Yeah, I don't feel like playing anymore.

Thursday Quiz - Is Jordana Paige a sign of spring?

So get this, I'm a free spirit.
Who knew?

You Are Kids Playing

You are a free spirited soul. More than anything else, you are often just happy to be alive.
You are always laid back and cheerful. You enjoy whatever happens to come your way.
You are spontaneous and zany. You're the kind of adult who still runs through the sprinklers.
You don't take life too seriously. You try to have fun at all times, even when you're working.

I'll tell you what part of spring I really am.
This part:

I received my new Jordana Paige knitting bag a few weeks ago, but I haven't used it yet.
Why not?
Well it's white.
And it's not Easter yet.
Come on, you know better.
I may not be fashionable, but I do follow fashion rules.

Various Shades of Blue

I hate to repeat myself, but I will, and I'm going to talk about Pandora again.
It keeps me company at work, and I enjoy it.
Lately, I've been listening to a lot of the Indigo Girls .
Well, I really like their music, and DN1 and I used to harmonize along with them.
Secret revealed?
I used to think we could be the next Naomi and Wynonna, but that hasn't happened.
Yet.
For the record, I'm not that good of a singer, I just like to sing.
I've got an Indigo Girls radio station on Pandora - and of all the Pandora stations I have, this is by far my favorite.
(Maybe someday we can all reveal our Pandora stations to each other, what do you think?)
I've discovered a lot of new music on this station - bands and artists that have been around for a while (The Waifs, Vienna Teng, Brandi Carlile, Ani DiFranco, Matt Nathanson), but that I'm just now discovering.
It's very enlightening.
So when I took the quiz about "What Girl Group Should You Be In?", I was pleasantly surprised, but pleased too:

You Should Be In the Indigo Girls

Your all about expressing yourself through music
Lyrics are your poetry - think Sylvia Plath meets guitar

They're coming to UB next month, but I don't have tickets.
I wonder if there are any left.
Tell me, what girl group should you be in?
Satisfy my curiosity, and maybe I'll write you a song and you can sing along.

Thursday Quiz - Spies

I've been watching Three Coins in the Fountain, and it makes me want to visit Rome.
Have you ever seen this movie?
Each time I watch it, I like it more.
It's still dated, but it grows on me.
Actually there's a movie with Ann-Margret set in Madrid called The Pleasure Seekers that is a 60s version of Three Coins.
And Ann-Margret is the coolest.
If I became a spy, I would pretend I was Ann-Margret and I would become:

Your International Spy Name is Honey Intrigue

Your Code Name: Volcano
You Reside in: Berlin
Why You're a Good Spy: You're sneaky

Yes, Honey Intrigue.
Awesome.
What's your spy name?

Thursday Quiz - Seeing is Believing

Almost six years ago we started watching a new series on Showtime that blew us away.
It was Dead Like Me (DLM).
We watched it faithfully on Sunday nights at 10:00 -- I remember the time because I was taking classes and my assignments were always due by midnight on Sunday evenings.
I would try and get the papers done before 10:00 pm so I could enjoy the show unfettered by a deadline, but invariably I would end up working until 9:59, watch the show, and then frantically finish my work in that last hour between 11:00 pm and midnight.
Boy I don't miss that, but I do miss DLM.
We own both seasons on DVD and will watch the show from time to time, but the series was abruptly cancelled after only two seasons and we longed for more.
Then we heard there was a movie in the works.
It came out on DVD yesterday, and I watched it this evening.
Did it satisfy my need to watch DLM?
To a certain extent - it had many of the same characters, and it offered them a resolution -- but I'm still not sure.
I think I will have to watch it one more time.
(But the "new" Daisy? Ick. This actress was Totally NOT Daisy.)
DLM, for those who have never seen the show, offers an idea of what happens to you and your soul once you die.
In some ways it was reassuring, because we just don't know.
This series provided you with possibilities that can not be ruled out, variations on death that seem like wonderfully benign alternatives to the scary unknown.
All the time, you are aware that this show is just the product of someone's fine imagination.
There's comfort in there, absolutely.
So, with that in mind, I thought I would do a religious quiz today to see what it says about me.
Well, and because we just celebrated the bicentennial of Charles Darwin's birth (hey, I think we can believe in God and evolution - for example, the nail on my pinky toe keeps shrinking day by day, soon it will be all gone), here's a little quiz:

You Are a Believer

You definitely believe in God - and you're very unwavering in your religious beliefs.
In fact, religion and spirituality are definitely big parts of your life.
Religion shapes how you view right and wrong, as well as the decisions you make.
It's hard for you to imagine how your life would be without your beliefs.

Of course it's like George Lass says, "We all have to go sometime."
Until tomorrow, then.

My inner child needs to go to Disneyland

Check this out.
I thought, let me find a quiz for Thursday that talks about something Disney related.
After all, don't we use Disney as a standard for family fun, how classic novels should be (re)interpreted, and how a small town should be?
Isn't Disneyland marketed as being the happiest place on earth?
Trust me, I've watched tons of Disney movies (one last night and one this morning), so I know Disney.
And, as I've mentioned before, I've been to ALL of the Disneyland parks - yes, every one.
Now you can imagine my surprise when I took this quiz to find out about my inner child -- a quiz I chose primarily because it has a Disney question on it.

Your Inner Child Is Sad

You're a very sensitive soul.
You haven't grown that thick skin that most adults have.
Easily hurt, you tend to retreat to your comfort zone.
You don't let many people in - unless you've trusted them for a long time.

Wow - perhaps you should feel sorry for me.
I'm feeling pretty sorry for myself right now.
And my outer adult is sad now too.
If I had the money I'd be on my way to Disneyland (or Disney World, or Tokyo Disneyland, or Disneyland Paris) right now just so I could cheer up my inner child.
Dang.

Thursday Quiz - What type of soap do you use?

Here it is, Thursday again.
Only two more work days to slog through and then we'll be at the weekend.
I can't wait, for more reasons than one.
Why? you ask.
I'll tell you.
This is what I got in the mail yesterday from Netflix:

Yes, it is what you think it is.
Well, not all of it, but I did get Season One, Disc One of Knots Landing.
I should be getting Disc Two tomorrow (there are five discs altogether).
Did you ever watch this show?
I did, and I think I really started watching it when we lived in Okinawa, where back then we had one American tv station and you watched what came on.
When you're held captive like that, you watch a lot of shows that you probably wouldn't normally watch, just to be watching tv.
Sad, but true.
And I think that's how I got involved in Knots Landing, the later years.
I bought some new yarn at AC Moore the other day, some for charity, and some to make SN1 a hat and scarf (Bernat Satin - acrylic and easy to wash).
The scarf is cabled, but it is a very simple cable, and it was a free pattern on the label (and on their website - requires free account to access patterns).
With an easy pattern to follow, I know I can focus my attention on what is going on in the cul-de-sac with Gary and Val.
Did you realize this show lasted for 14 seasons?
Remarkable.
In honor of Knots Landing, the quiz for today is a Soap Opera Name Generator.
I'm pleased with mine:

Your Soap Opera Name Generator is:
Pipa Howard

For the record, my maiden name was Pipa Worthington.
With a name like that, I really think I would have hyphenated.
Say it with me - Pipa Worthington-Howard.
Nice.
Daddy has money, I bet, but I must be in hiding or something, what do you think?
If you want to find out your soap opera name, go to Quizopolis.com
Now, I wonder which house Pipa would be living in.
Hmm......
Must watch and wonder.

Thursday Quiz - What's a snowy day without comfort food?

Yesterday was a heck of a snowstorm.
No going out to get lunch for me.
And I've been bringing my lunch lately, mostly to save money, but also because the cafe next door carries the same thing everyday and who wants to pay over $3.00 for a tuna sandwich.
Fortunately I had made a big batch of macaroni and cheese on Saturday.
DH didn't care for it too much because I was serving a meatless meal, and the kids didn't like it either because it didn't come from a box and was orange in color.
Too bad for them - more for me.
I thought it was delicious, albeit a bit smoky due to the fire.
Well I had overloaded the pan, and I thought it wouldn't run over.
There I go thinking again.
So it did, and there were flames, and smoke, and you know the drill.
Now I have to clean that side of the oven - the non-self-cleaning oven.
Yuck.
Anyway, it was a perfect day yesterday for some comfort food, and everyone was eyeballing my mac and cheese.
I didn't share - maybe the next non-smoky batch.
Soup is also a wonderful comfort food, and here's today's quiz about soup.

You Are Chicken Noodle Soup

You are a traditional and conservative person. You value the past, and change frightens you.
You are very loyal, especially to your family. You prefer a low-key life, with lots of time spent at home.
You like soup because it's easy, quick, and cheap.
You tend to have a favorite soup you stick to. Why change a good thing?

I'm surprised I'm not tomato soup, because that's actually my favorite, but I must be wrong, because a five question quiz couldn't be inaccurate in its assessment.
Or could it?
What's your comfort food?

Updated: Speaking of comfort food, have you seen this latest dish? I can feel my arteries clogging just looking at pictures, and you know I love my bacon.

Thursday Quiz - It's a Vacation Location for Some

For many years DH and I wanted to get stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The timing was never right, and we eventually promoted ourselves out of positions there, so we never made it.
And by the time we were within spitting distance of retirement, they were poised to close it down and had made it into a one-year duty station, no more three year tours for families.
But oh all the good stories I have been told about that place.
It used to be a wonderful, I heard, like small-town America.
You were isolated, sure, but there were benefits as well.
It was right on the water, and if snorkeling, or sunbathing is your thing, then you could do it in spades at Gitmo.
I've known adults who were there as kids with their parents, and they loved it.
There were no outside distractions, so the community was close. Parents could keep their kids safe, because they knew most of the people on base.
I've known Marines and sailors who went there and thought it was a great duty station.
The liberty locations couldn't be beat (Bermuda), and they always had planes flying back and forth to the Mainland.
They even had a McDonald's!
Being stationed at Gitmo was a scary thing for some people, because if you went unaccompanied and without your family, you would be away from the people you loved for a year. For others, the fear of working at the minefield that separated Gitmo from the Cubans (although there were Cubans working on base) was something they didn't look forward to doing.
All-in-all, Gitmo seemed like one of those well-kept secrets, so I find it disconcerting to see the place that I dreamed of going to being so maligned.
Honestly, who heard of Gitmo before it became a place where prisoners are kept?
Probably not many.
And now the name Gitmo doesn't come across to people as a hidden gem but instead connotes terrorism, detention, and brutality.
As for me, I'll always think of Gitmo as one of the duty stations I always wanted to get to and never did.
I won't think of it as it appears in its present context.
So, with the imminent closing of Gitmo, and speaking of prisons (Lovely segue, Julie), I give you today's quiz about Slanguage.

Your Slanguage Profile

Canadian Slang: 75%
Aussie Slang: 50%
British Slang: 25%
New England Slang: 25%
Prison Slang: 25%
Southern Slang: 25%

I could hang in a prison, and I'd do okay in the south, but apparently I belong in Canada.
Less than two hours and I'd be at the Canadian side of the falls, eh.
Let me grab my toque.

Quiz - Signs of the Times

For supper last night, we drove down and picked up some pizza.
This pizza place has a drive-through window - how cool is that.
Unfortunately, the pizza and wings left a little something to be desired.
Not sure if it is because it is so cold outside, it's so cold in my kitchen, or it's a different crew in their kitchen, but they were kind of meh.
I did take a picture of the sign they have by their window, because I always like to see it.

Can you read it?
It says, "Blind Corner Swing Wide."
I know, it's the simple things that give me pleasure.
There's another picture in town that makes me chuckle every time I see it and I'll have to get a picture and post it.
Later, though, because we're still looking at -20 degrees today, or something like that.
DN2 told me yesterday that her classroom is so cold she felt like crying, and then the boy who sits in front of her actually did start crying because he was cold.
The kids don't dress appropriately sometimes, but that school is cold, and even though it is relatively new, it's probably still kind of drafty.
Anyway, I'm not talking about the weather today, but about signs.
Here's a sign quiz for you:

Your Rising Sign is Aquarius

You are an interesting mix of introspective and outlandish.
Waving your freak flag high, you really do things your own way.
While you may seem distant, you care very deeply for humanity.
You just have no tolerance for fools, slackers, or dullards.
And while you're fairly misanthropic, many are drawn to you.
Innovative and clever, people look to you for new ideas and trends.

Wow, "waving my freak flag high," eh?
That's the most interesting phrase I've heard in a while, and you can bet I'll be using it more often.
Especially with regards to my activities.
"Sorry, can't help you, but it goes against the ethos of my freak flag."
or...
"Don't mind me, my freak flag is just waving high today!"
or...
"Burning my freak flag would be a violation of my constitutional rights."
Wow, this is too much freaky conversation for one day.
What's your sign?

Thursday Quiz - TV Shows

Here's an interesting quiz, for those of you who like to watch the show NCIS.
I know I've talked about it before, because DH and I really like to watch it.
Sadly, I feel like my mother and my step-father.
"Oh honey, it's Tuesday night, NCIS is coming on."
So routinized.
Alas, what can I do, it's a good show!
(Even an Entertainment Weekly reporter discovered how good the show is!)
I like to watch the marathons on USA network as well, also because I can watch Psych on there (my new favorite show, coming out with a new episode tomorrow!).
For those in Ravelry, there are groups for tv shows - have you seen those?
I belong to several: NCIS, Psych, House, Ghost Whisperer, and Numbers.
All shows that I watch on a regular basis.
And what is surprising is that I use to limit my one hour shows to only two per week - that's all I could commit to.
Looks like I can commit to more as I get older, or else I'm happier sitting on my butt watching tv shows for at least five hours out of the week.
(And did you see they're moving House opposite The Big Bang Theory on Mondays? Seriously, that is wrong, so I will just continue to record House. Sorry.)
Anyway, I found this quiz on Ravelry in the NCIS group.
Kind of a cute quiz; check it out, this is who I am:

Now that's cool.
I don't mind being Ziva at all.
She can kick some tail.
Take the quiz and find out who you are.

(By the way, DH and I like to watch NCIS and find mistakes, I've said that before. This past week they found a body of a sailor who had been dead for 11 years. They pulled his ID card out of his jacket pocket to ascertain his identity. DH looked at me and said, "They weren't using those ID cards 11 years ago." He was right - it was a Common Access Card, which the Navy and Marine Corps started issuing in 2002/2003, concurrent with, or just prior to, the NMCI contract. The dead sailor should have had the old green ID card. See, this is why we like watching the show, it makes us feel smarter.)

Thursday Quiz - Jimmy Crack Corn....

Do you remember that song?
I had a friend who used to say that when he was asked a question about something he either didn't know the answer to, or didn't care about.
He would just say, "Well Jimmy crack corn."
It would make me laugh.
Well I was thinking about food today because I heard something important on the news.
Let's be honest, I was thinking about food with or without the news, but this is kind of exciting.
It's a new blog called Foodista.
Actually it's more than a blog, although there is a blog on there, but it is a site for recipes.
In a Wikipedia kind of way.
Very interesting stuff.
Well it's food, what's not to like?
It has recipes, and they are categorized, but not in the way Food Network or iVillage does things, similar, but not the same.
Anyway, give it a look.
If you find September 6th on the blog, there is a recipe for the kind of holiday food I am. If you search from the homepage, you can find out exactly what it is and where it came from.
And what is that, you ask.
Check out the quiz below.

You Are a Trifle

No doubt, you have many intricate layers. But deep down, you're a little squishy.

Thursday Quiz - Christmas Carols

I love Christmas music.
As soon as I finish my paper and can relax, once the house is decorated, I'm ready to give my annual review of new Christmas music.
To get in the spirit, however, I've been listening to Pandora radio at work.
I got so excited when they sent me an email stating they had several different "genre" stations featuring Christmas music; they have classical Christmas, rockin' Christmas, Christmas jazz, etc.
I decided to give Rockin' Christmas a try - why not, right?
I like to sing along just like everyone else.
Now let me tell you about a Christmas song that I do not like - The Little Drummer Boy.
Excuse me if I've talked about this already, but I have to go through it again.
When I was in 4th grade I used to love that song. I watched the tv special about him, I would listen to the song on my little blue record player, but then over the years that "rum-pa-pum-pum" really started to wear on my nerves.
I stopped listening to that song.
So, I'm at work listening to Rockin' Christmas on Pandora and digging the first few songs (although they don't let you vote) - when what comes on? - you guessed it, "The Little Drummer Boy."
I can't listen to it - I try to vote it down so it won't play anymore, but since they've disabled that option I can't - so I switch to the next song!
Crisis averted.
Only problem - approximately 3 songs later what comes up again?
Another version of "The Little Drummer Boy!"
Kill me now!
On Pandora you can only skip so many songs in an hour, so I'm stuck listening to "The Little Drummer Boy" ALL THE TIME because it appears about every 5th song!
This is not hyperbole - this is fact.
I turned on Pandora yesterday morning to begin my day, and what is the first song that plays?
You guessed it - "The Little Drummer Boy."
Apparently that song is the iceberg lettuce that holds the Pandora sandwich together.
I switched stations to Classical Christmas.
I think I'm safe now because I'm pretty sure the Vienna Boys Choir has never sung that song.
Now here's a quiz that tells what Christmas carol I am this year:

Your Christmas Song Is "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"

Have yourself a merry little Christmas,
Let your heart be light
From now on,
Our troubles will be out of sight

From baking cookies to giving gifts to everyone...
You enjoy brightening up the season for those you know

Meet Me in St. Louis is one of my favorite movies - and who doesn't love Judy Garland.
So I'll share "my" Christmas carol with you - enjoy!

Now let me know what Christmas carol you are!

Thursday Quiz - Depressing Stuff

Perhaps you have heard the news -- we've been in a recession since last year.
There are only two letters keeping the word "recession" from becoming the word "depression," so I'm pretty sure we're close to the big one.
At least gas prices are going down.
Anyway, I didn't mean to bring all doom and gloom to a blog post, but I read an interesting article this morning.
I'm sure many of you remember this photograph by Dorothea Lange.

It is an alarming image, and one that stays with you, whether you have read The Grapes of Wrath or not (which is one of my favorite books of all time). I equate this photo with Steinbeck's book because I feel he wrote the penultimate book about, not only the Great Depression, or how fast you can sink into total and utter despair, but also how far humans will go to keep themselves alive.
Great stuff - very moving and poignant. If you haven't read it, please do.
This Lange photo is iconic on its own, without Steinbeck's help, but I never thought about the children in the photo, mostly because the mother's face is what holds my attention.
And then I read this article on CNN about the girl on the left in the photo.
This is what amazes me - she is the same age as my mother.
Now there's some food for thought, for me at least.
We're back in tough economic times, and the Great Depression was not that long ago that we've totally forgotten the devastating affect it had on America.
I often wonder if I would survive a depression, and of course there is a quiz that helps me to find out!

You Are 45% Likely to Survive Another Great Depression

Your habits are pretty on par with the average person.
Unfortunately, this means your chances aren't good in another Great Depression.
Start saving your money now. Living in debt isn't doing you any favors.
Also figure out how to live a little more cheaply. Every little bit you can trim will help.

Of course this quiz doesn't ask basic questions I think should be included, such as, can you make your own clothing (well no, not yet), can you make socks (why yes, I can!), can you prepare your own canned food (I think I could).
So I'm thinking that if they included the questions I believe should be in there, that raises my chances to about 50%.
I'm going for it.
Do you think you would make it?

Thursday Quiz - First Impressions

For the record, DH turned the heat on today.
And no, I'm not made of hearty stock (although I do have plenty of extra cushion to keep me warm), I'm just trying to be economical in my penny wise, pound foolish kind of way.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go order some books from Amazon before my next heating bill comes in and I can't afford it anymore.

Your result for What Your Taste in Art Says About You Test...

Balanced, Secure, and Realistic.

Impressionism is a movement in French painting, sometimes called optical realism because of its almost scientific interest in the actual visual experience and effect of light and movement on appearance of objects. Impressionist paintings are balanced, use colored shadows, use pure color, broken brushstrokes, thick paint, and scenes from everyday life or nature.

People that like Impressionist paintings may not alway be what is deemed socially acceptable. They tend to move on their own path without always worrying that it may be offensive to others. They value friendships but because they also value honesty tend to have a few really good friends. They do not, however, like people that are rude and do not appreciate the ideas of others. They are secure enough in themselves that they can listen to the ideas of other people without it affecting their own final decisions. The world for them is not black and white but more in shades of grey and muted colors. They like things to be aestically pleasing, not stark and sharp. There are many ways to view things, and the impresssionist personality views the world from many different aspects. They enjoy life and try to keep a realistic viewpoint of things, but are not very open to new experiences. If they are content in their live they will be more than likely pleased to keep things just the way they are.

Thursday Quiz -- Holiday Parties on my Mind

I love this time of the year, with Halloween followed by Thanksgiving and then on into Christmas. It is as if these months bring celebration after celebration after celebration. One big, long party season.
As you all know, Halloween is next week. And on a Friday too! Now that is like picking the Willy Wonka bar with the golden ticket -- it's all good.
I'm still knitting ahead for the Christmas holiday - well, still working on the same Christmas stocking. No progress to report.
It's cold in my house and in the evening we really don't do much except go to bed early.
DN2 is having some friends come over for her birthday, so I'm afraid we may have to turn on some heat. You know I don't want to, but these little girls may get all whiny and complain.
Anyway, here's a quiz for you, since it is a Thursday:

What Your Halloween Habits Say About You

You're a friendly person, but not the life of the party. You like making someone else's day - and you'll dress up if you think of a really fun costume.
You definitely think of yourself as someone who has a dark side. And part of having that dark side means not showing it.
Your inner child is open minded, playful, and adventurous.
You fear people taking advantage for you. You are always worried about protecting your own interests.
You're prone to be quite emotional and over dramatic. Deep down, you enjoy being scared out of your mind... even if you don't admit it.
You are a traditionalist with most aspects of your life. You like your Halloween costume to be basic, well made, and conventional enough to wear another year.

Thursday Quiz - Being Canadian is Cool too

This is my 500th post.
I know I should probably celebrate it in some way, but that would be unlike me.
I'm on that road paved with good intentions heading toward the hot place, so I'll just announce it as a first line, and then give you a quiz because it is Thursday.
According to this quiz I am 65% British. Well I must be un-American because I watched the season finale of Project Runway and didn't watch the debates.
Sorry, finding out who won that contest was of more concern at that particular moment.
Did you watch the debate?
Tell me what you thought.
Do you think you're British?
Take the quiz and find out.

You Are 65% British

Congrats, mate. You're are probably British.
(If not, definitely Australian. Or Kiwi. Or Canadian.)
You enjoy most aspects of mainstream British culture, without being stereotypical about it.
You also have a typical British temperament. You wouldn't dream of being impolite.

And it's true, being Canadian is cool too.
Now I've gotta run because my tea is cooling on the counter and I need to drink it.
Cheers.
P.S. I knit in class last night. I'm working on a Christmas stocking. How brave of me, right?
(Note to self - Next time use wooden or bamboo needles to avoid the clanging of the metal needles. It's distracting to me and everyone else, I'm sure.)
